While planning your reception one of the most important things to do is to compile a song list for the DJ (or band leader).

So how do you go about compiling a danceable yet sentimental song list? First, ask your DJ to give you a suggested playlist. Go over it and pick out songs you know you like. Make sure you see your choices for the first dance and the father-daughter dance listed, or add them. Next, brainstorm with your fiance about favorite tunes. Looking over the DJ's playlist will probably inspire you to think of songs you might have overlooked. Finally, make sure the DJ has any songs you've added. If not, you might consider bringing in CDs of those songs if they're very important to you.
