Italian Moments

It was about this time, last year, that Marcia and I photographed our way across the Tuscany region of Italy. Upon reviewing some of the images, I feal that capturing the "moments that matter" is the core of photography (no matter if weddings, portraits or unscripted life in general).

Only Thoughts

We all have events from our past that haunt us as they reemerge as thoughts disguised as the real thing. Keep in mind that thoughts can't hurt you without your consent.

Urban Edge...

... is what I'm calling the series of images from this wedding. It was fun and gave me one of those rare opputunities to play with the couple. We took it from the dressing room to the alley, at the Bemar Event Center in Lakewood.

We Own This Moment... Now

We are not upset by events of the past. Instead, we are upset because of the attention we are giving to those past events... here, in the present.

Seeing our past as memories... as thoughts carried through time (nothing more or less)... is an extremely powerful insight. It allows you to have perspective and forgiveness, and to let things go as they come up.
